David Van Os Challenges Abbott to Debate
While Barnstorming the State, Van Os Challenges Abbott to Debate
Yesterday David Van Os, while in the midst of his county-to-county tour in West Texas, sent Greg Abbott a one-line letter challenging the incumbent to a public debate of the issues in this year's election for attorney general. A copy of the letter is below.
For approximately the last 5 months Van Os has been on a whistlestop tour to meet the public at every county courthouse in the state. There are 254 counties in Texas. As of October 3, he had met with the public at 236 county courthouses. This morning he began the day at the Howard County courthouse in Big Spring. By the end of this week he will have been to 247 courthouses.

As a previous GA employee, I don't think you will get your request granted but I am still rooting for you! Good luck and you've got MY vote.

Gregg Abbott and his administration feel they rule the world since they can "legally" twist laws to rob and degrade people. He's too wimpy to debate. But that's okay you already have my vote.

Dave - I'm your old chemistry teacher from Kilgore High School. Of all the students I had over nearly forty years of teaching, I believe you are the most honorable, the smartest, and the most trustworthy pupil that came through my classroom. Boy, I'm really glad to get a chance to vote for you! I know you'll straighten out what's wrong in Austin, and then Texas really will be the best state to live in! Herb Coursey

Nice and straight to the point. I like it. :-) Things are looking up for democrats, so he may well have to take you up on it as well.
Best of luck, David.
